Alright, so today was a bit more fruitful that the last. I actually came to a decision (which, technically, should have been what I had done at the start). So we listened to a lecture about our grades, and then we went to work.
- Adobe After Effects – So the first thing I did was to experiment with Adobe After Effects (again).
- Effects – I fiddled around with this for a while, adjusting the numbers/settings of effects.
Played around with things like Opacity, rotation, and other things on the screen shot. I also tried out effects like: blur, channel (still not sure what channel does), etc.
So I can select effects now, but my main problem right now is making the effects work. It’s very slow progress. It’s actually pretty frustrating.
- Tutorials and Videos- I probably spent majority of my time browsing through tutorials. I kept referring to the tutorials to try and figure out how to do things (albeit not really successful)

So above is one of the main videos I watched. It has other parts too. This is the link to the video above, where you can find the other parts : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYZIfGj-zWg
I also watched some tutorials provided by Adobe After Effects.

In my opinion, this still didn’t really help any. Here is the link to the Adobe Tutorials if you want to check it out: http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/video_workshop/
In between tutorials, I also watched another video (I do not claim any ownership of this video):

I find it inspirational because the whole thing was edited by the kid in the video, and he’s only like, what, 11?
So at the end of the lesson, I discussed with the teacher, and managed to get to a decision. My backup presentation tool will be Prezi. I will be experimenting with After Effects at school, and if I can’t figure it out, my Prezi will be submitted. Since I practically wasted three lessons, majority of Prezi will be done at home, as I can edit it at home (because I can edit it online), with the exception of softwares I don’t have (ex: Screen Capture).
So it’s going to be busy from here on out.
